One would think that our Environmental Watch dog would be on the ball and look after the public’s safety first and foremost.

I made a complaint – View my complaint for to DERM and then

DERM responded – View DERM’s response advising that Teys Bros Beenleigh are in breach of their permit to operate

In, February 2010, I made a application to DERM, for information pertaining to living next to Teys Bros Beenleigh, I was a home buyer seeking advise. On the 5th of March I receive a phone call back from DERM and couldn’t help but wonder why they couldn’t just give me a straight answer instead of beating around the bush and dancing around the issues, it sounded to me that DERM are not a watch dog for the community.

But, In my opinion, we do know that Teys Bros Beenleigh are in breach of their DERM Licence, and they know it, and it seems they are always in and out of breach from time to time as far back as 2000.

After my 2012 complaint, I  met with DERM and after a very short meeting they said they would look into the issue of Dust and Noise which could take up to a year or more but the Q Fever disease issue was not their responsibility and suggested I contact Queensland Health.
